The Lewis County Health Department has worked in many areas of school health, including:
· Providing tobacco cessation curriculum/program “Here’s Looking At You” to students at Laurel, Central, and Tollesboro elementary. Click here to see Laurel 5th grade graduates.
· Providing physical activity education curriculum/program “Get Health Kentucky” to students at Laurel Elementary.
· Providing the dental sealant program to students at Laurel, Garrison, Central, and Tollesboro Elementary.
· Providing other mutually agreed upon (between Lewis County Primary Care Center and Lewis County Health Department) health services as needed.
· Providing abstinence based curriculum/program “Reducing the Risk” to the Lewis County Alternative School.
